A festering sprawl of refuse and scavenger huts, the Dump District clings to the city’s lowest edge. It is an ever-expanding landfill and impromptu salvage yard inhabited by those who have nowhere else to go — or no interest in going anywhere else.
The Dump District is Endspire’s underbelly. Located in the Bottom Tier, it serves as the final resting place for discarded materials, broken machinery, failed magitech, and — occasionally — discarded people. Mountains of refuse form its streets, and the ground is a constantly shifting mosaic of debris. Despite the filth, a culture of resilience thrives here.
People live in makeshift structures cobbled together from salvage. Entire families have built homes from half-functional devices, crumbling archways, and crashed detritus from above. Nothing is wasted. Many believe that the Dump District knows more secrets about Endspire than the Council Spire does — especially those buried deep in forgotten trash.
The Dump District has long been ignored by official policy, but it remains a vital engine of Endspire’s recycling ecosystem. The Refuse Union, a semi-formal group of salvagers and engineers, manages most operations here and ensures the most dangerous ruins remain off-limits.
